Unseen Sex Pistols Footage Released

The performance of the song Holiday In The Sun from September 1977 was shot in Penzance, Cornwall and the footage has been cut together by director Julien Temple with footage from the band's trip to Berlin from that same year.

"The performance was shot using one camera and shows the extraordinary captivating quality of the band at the time. There was shock in the room, it was hypnotising, contagious, and unfolded right in front of you. It was filmed in Penzance in September 1977, the Pistols arrived unannounced and the audience couldn't believe what they were getting," says Temple.

The footage is taken from one of the discs in the new expansive Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols box set, which is released on 24 September.
