Unreleased Stones Song Debuts

\'No Spare Parts\' was rescued from the vaults for new Some Girls reissue

The song, first recorded by Chris Kimsey in 1978, was apparently discovered by producer Don Was when he was searching through the vaults. And while the song has appeared on bootlegs for years the new version is markedly different in its fully produced form.

Recorded in Paris, the song tells the story of a trip from Los Angeles to San Antonio, TX featuring Mick Jagger on electric piano, Keith Richards on acoustic piano, Ron Wood on pedal steel guitar, Charlie Watts on drums and Bill Wyman on bass.

'No Spare Parts' was recorded originally during the Some Girls recording sessions, although it didn't make the final cut. It is to be released on the forthcoming deluxe reissue of the album along with 11 other previously unreleased tracks.

And while some of the unreleased songs have been finished off recently by the band, this song is apparently not one of them.

Some Girls is reissued on 21 November as 2CD and super deluxe 2CD/DVD box set, which includes vinyl and assorted extras.
