U2 Tour Destroys Records

Numbers have been crunched on the band\'s 360 tour, and they are MASSIVE

The band absolutely crushed Rolling Stones' record for the largest ever tour after it was revealed that they had raked in a staggering $736,137,344 (a little over £448m) on their two year 360 tour. The figure dwarf's the previous record, held by the Stones, of $558m.

After finishing their tour on Saturday night in Canada, U2 had played to 7.26m fans over 110 concerts in 30 countries in a little over two years (including an extended break after Bono hurt his back).

The success of the tour is largely down to the band's revolutionary Claw stage sets, which apparently help increase some stadiums' capacity by around 25%.
