U2 Top Another Tour Rich List
The band\'s 360 tour keeps pulling in the punters
In their latest set of touring figures Billboard report that the band earned more money on the road in the period 1 November to 31 May than anyone else, ($60m more than their nearest rival, Roger Waters).
The band's 360 tour is now finished, and it's officially the biggest tour of all time, so it's no surprising that the band raked in a healthy amount of cash during the final few months of the jaunt.
They pulled in $174m from just 23 sell out shows during the six months, compared to second placed Roger Waters' $114m from 69 sell out shows.
"After the bloodbath of 2010, and the more moderate pain of 2009, the touring industry came into 2011 more than a little gun-shy. As we take stock of the first half of the year, you can almost hear the sigh of relief. Based on numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore, business is solid," said Billboard Magazine.
