U2 Tipped For Oscar
PLUS Bono and The Edge to take part in Haiti benefit show
U2 are being tipped to win the Best Song Oscar at the March awards ceremony.
Gigwise reports that after the band missed out on the Best Song award at last Sunday’s Golden Globes the director of Brothers, the film which features their song ‘Winter’, revealed that he believes that the band are in poll position to win the coveted movie award.
"I'm sorry the lads didn't win a Golden Globe but I think there's a good chance they could get an Oscar instead for Best Song," Jim Sheridan told the Irish Independent.
