U2 Planning "Club" Album

It\'s looking likely that we\'ll see three new albums from the band soon

U2 are apparently once again embracing dance music – but they are also planning on releasing a rock album and their No Line outtakes album.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine frontman Bono has revealed that the band currently have a "club” style album in the works along with a rock album, and their seemingly forgotten Songs Of Ascent album (made up of offcuts from the No Line On The Horizon sessions) will also see the light of day before too long.

No other details are available about the three releases, but U2 have recently been playing a couple of new tracks on their resurrected 360 tour. ‘Glastonbury’ – which was supposed to debut at their Glastonbury Festival headline set – and ‘North Star’ have both appeared in sets since the band started to tour again following Bono’s back injury.

On the injury, Bono told Rolling Stone that he has made a good recovery, although he joked he "could have made a limp work".

He added: "There are a lot bigger problems out there than the ones I was facing ... But I came out of it perfect. And I feel incredibly grateful."
