U2, Metallica, AC/DC, Rush Win Top Touring Awards

A handful of rock’s biggest acts picked up awards at the world’s premier touring awards ceremony yesterday.

In honour of their massive 360 world tour, U2 were presented with the Top Tour and Top Draw Awards, which recognize the top grossing and ticket-selling tours based on global box office numbers, as reported to Billboard Boxscore from Oct. 1, 2009 through Sept. 30, 2010.

Metallica picked up the Eventful Fans' Choice Award, while AC/DC won the Top Boxscore Award for its three sellout shows at Sydney's ANZ Stadium.

Rush were named 2010 Billboard Legend Of Live at the ceremony.

Download Festival picked up the Top Festival award – confirming it as the best festival anywhere in the world this year, while the O2 Arena in London was once again named the Top Arena in the world.
