U2 announce Manchester and London shows

Irish rock giants U2 will play gigs in Manchester and London for this coming autumn.

As part of the European leg of the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour, Bono, Larry, Adam and The Edge will play Manchester Arena on Friday 19th October and London The O2 on Tuesday 23rd October.

The European tour opens in Berlin in August and takes in arenas in Cologne, Paris, Lisbon, Madrid and Copenhagen in September before hitting Hamburg, Amsterdam and Milan in October ahead of the Manchester and London gigs.

Just like previous U2 tours, the new arena production will explore the latest in cutting-edge technology and will be staged in the round.

According to promoters Live Nation, ‘the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour is a development of the unique and innovative staging of the 2015 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, featuring multiple performance areas, a state-of-the-art sound system, plus an all new super high-res LED screen nine-times the resolution of the 2015 screen.’

Tickets are limited to four per person when the go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 9am on Friday 26th January.
