Twisted Sister will headline the Friday night at the Catton Park event, bringing them (almost) full circle from where they first played in the UK in nearby Wrexham.

Guitarist Jay Jay French comments: "Our journey in the UK that began in Wrexham in 1982, ends with Bloodstock 2016! Without the recognition that we received from our UK fans, the world would never have known nor would we ever have reached our 40 year milestone!"

The announcement of the band's farewell tour follows the sad passing of their drummer AJ Pero earlier this year.

Other acts already confirmed for the festival include Saturday headliners Mastodon and Friday special guests Behemoth and Venom, who were announced on stage during this year's event.

Bloodstock 2016 takes place from 11th-14th August in Derbyshire. Early bird weekend tickets are on sale now via Planet Rock Tickets!
