Trevor Horn Studio To Be Redeveloped

Legendary Sarm Studios to become apartments and two new digital studios

The Sun reports that the studios are to be be given a multi-million pound makeover, with its five studios converted into two state of the art studios. Funds will be raised by converting part of the building into mews houses and apartments.

Sarm Studios have played host to some of the greatest moments in pop and rock history - and some of the biggest songs of all time were recorded there, including parts of Led Zeppelin IV, Aqualung and the Rolling Stones recorded there during the 70s.

Queen laid down We Are The Champions on site too, and The Clash and Iron Maiden also recorded material there, but perhaps its most famous hour was when Band Aid recorded 'Do They Know Its Christmas' there in 1985.

Trevor Horn's daughter Ally said: "We're hoping Sarm will be born again for the digital age, so we can cater for the next generation. We've always been cutting edge and it's about keeping up with that."
