Eddie Vedder and Trent Reznor to star in new series of Twin Peaks
The singers are both part of the bumper cast in the revival of David Lynch's cult classic show.
Eddie Vedder and Trent Reznor have been named as part of the cast in the upcoming resurrection of Twin Peaks.
A post on the official Twin Peaks Facebook page confirms that filming is now complete and revealed the names of 217 people who star in the revival of the cult show.
It reads: “The cameras have stopped rolling. A key piece of the mystery is revealed. Welcome back to Twin Peaks.”
As well as Vedder and Reznor’s names, actors joining the colossal cast include Michael Cera, Monica Bellucci, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jim Belushi, Tim Roth, Robert Forster, Ashley Judd, Amanda Seyfried and Lynch vets Laura Dern, Balthazar Getty and Naomi Watts.
Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck and Trent Reznor’s wife Mariqueen Maandig are also listed.
Created, written and directed by David Lynch, the new series of Twin Peaks will hit TV screens in 2017.
Many of the original cast including Kyle MacLachlan, David Duchovny and Dana Ashbrook will also return.
Eddie Vedder has had flirtations with acting before having had a brief role in the 1992 movie Singles playing himself and he also had a cameo in 2007’s Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
Trent Reznor, of course, is an acclaimed film composer having worked on The Social Network, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl. Alongside Atticus Ross, he scooped an Oscar for The Social Network in 2011.
