Jeff Beck’s first album in almost seven years gets its UK release on April 12th.
As previously reported on planetrock.com, ‘Emotion and Commotion’ features an array of styles from the guitar virtuoso, including a 64 piece orchestra. Beck triumphed through adversity to record parts of the album, after he chopped off the tip of his index finger right before recording the last sessions! Determined to complete the project, Beck says "I found I could do quite a lot with the remaining fingers. It forced me to make adjustments; basically relearn how to play within these new constraints”.
Planet Rock has had a listen to an advance album already – look out for ‘Hammerhead’, a stand out rock track with plenty of bite to please every Beck fan.
