Tommy Lee Faces Rollercoaster Legal Fight
An engineer says that he gave Lee the idea of the drum rollercoaster 20 years ago
TMZ.com reports that an engineer named Scott King has sent a letter to Motley Crue's lawyers recently, claiming Lee turned down his idea for a rollercoaster drumkit in 1991 but then stole the idea for their 2011 tour.
So far no lawsuit has been filed and Lee's lawyers have dismissed the claim, saying that King never pitched the idea and even if he did, his rollercoaster involved tracks running around the stage rather than the the stationary "drum ring" which Lee uses.
