Tom Petty Plays Tiny College Radio Show
Petty supports public college radio with tiny benefit show in LA
Rolling Stone reports that Petty and his Heartbreakers were the headliners of a benefit concert for the tiny college radio station KCSN-FM, on the outer edges of suburban Los Angeles.
Petty has long been a supporter of public radio, and he hosts his own show on US satellite station Sirius. The benefit show was to raise money to improve signal strength for the station.
The band apparently played a set based upon last year's Mojo album, but also featuring a lot of hits and some deeper cuts from their extensive back catalogue.
