Tom Petty Announces Live Vinyl Release
The legendary songwriter is supporting independent record stores in the US
Rolling Stone reports that the as yet unnamed album will be released in North America on 25 November to mark Record Store Day's Black Friday - an initiative to try to get punters through the doors of independent record stores instead of big national chains.
The album will apparently be made up of live tracks recorded over the past year, with several tracks from last year's excellent Mojo album making an appearance.
The album will also apparently include a new version of the song 'Sweet William', which was originally a B-Side to the 1999 single 'Room At The Top.'
No word on whether the album will be available in UK record stores yet.
