The Who to headline Isle Of Wight Festival
The Who have been confirmed as the Saturday night headliners for this year’s Isle Of Wight Festival.
The legendary rockers will make their fourth appearance at the festival as part of their ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations, having previously played there in 1969, 1970 and 2004. It will be their only UK festival performance in 2016.
Festival organiser John Giddings said: “The Who are part of the fabric of The Isle of Wight Festival, and it’s great to welcome them back to the island as part of their ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations. We’re proud to have a line up of home-grown headliners to help celebrate our own 15th anniversary and ensure that this year delivers yet another unforgettable weekend of music."
The Who join a diverse line-up for the event, which already includes Sunday headliners Queen + Adam Lambert as well as Iggy Pop, Stereophonics, Status Quo, The Buzzcocks, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Sixx:A.M. and many more.
Isle Of Wight Festival takes place from the 9th – 12th June at Seaclose Park. Tickets are on sale now via Planet Rock Tickets!
