The Who, Crooked Vultures For Teenage Cancer Gigs

Daltrey announces line up.

Roger Daltrey has announced the line-up for this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust shows at the Royal Albert Hall.

As well as The Who’s first UK show for more than a year, Them Crooked Vultures return to the UK to play a one-off date and Noel Gallagher plays his first post-Oasis shows (and these will be his only shows of 2010).

And for those that are interested, there will be performances from a reformed Suede, indie rockers Arctic Monkeys, The Specials, Depeche Mode and pop-oufit JLS.

There will also be a comedy night featuring performances from Jimmy Carr, Noel Fielding and Rhod Gilbert.

Announcing the line up, Roger Daltrey CBE, Patron of Teenage Cancer Trust said: "When The Who first got together in 2000 to raise money for this brilliant charity, I had no idea we’d achieve so much from these shows. In the last ten years we’ve raised over £8.7 million, helping Teenage Cancer Trust to open nine more specialist cancer units for young people across the UK.

"Teenage Cancer Trust has come such a long way since our first gig and I’m extremely proud of this event. I’m forever inspired by the support I have received from the artists and members of the music and comedy industries. This year has been no exception and it’s thanks to them that our 10th anniversary shows are set to break all records for Teenage Cancer Trust.”

Tickets for the shows are on sale from Friday at 9am from www.teenagecancertrust.org
