Macclesfield rock duo The Virginmarys have announced details of their fourth studio album ‘The House Beyond The Fires’ and a headline UK tour for later this year.

Released on Friday 1st November and available to pre-order here, ‘The House Beyond the Fires’ is preceded by the lead single ‘Northwest Coast.’

Frontman Ally Dkty says of the track: “‘Northwest Coast’ is the first single to be released from the album, it’s a perfect glimpse of all that’s to come. It starts with one of the best riffs I’ve written, and the groove works incredibly.

“The track fuses different genres and is a little ‘tongue in cheek’ lyrically, repping the gritty realness and beauty of the Northwest of England.”

You can watch the ‘Northwest Coast’ video, which was conceived by drummer Danny Dolan and filmed by Joel Gardner, right here:

‘The House Beyond the Fires’ sees Dkty and Dolan join forces with Dave Draper to produce the drums and guitars (Terrorvision, The Wildhearts) and Karl Daniel Lidén from Sweden for the mix and mastering.

“We have always been renowned for the power and energy of our live performances and strived to recreate that intensity through the production and mix of the records. I feel like we’ve really turned a corner with this album,” says Ally Dkty.

After dates in the summer with Ugly Kid Joe, The Virginmarys will embark on a headline UK and European tour in the autumn.

The UK leg opens with a homecoming album launch show at Macclesfield Cinemac Cinema on Saturday 2nd November, and it visits Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Norwicth, Bournemouth and Bristol before concluding at Oslo in Hackney, London on Sunday 8th December.
