The Stones Release "Bootleg" Box Set
Their Brussels Affair album has been given a physical release
The classic bootleg, which was given an "official" release last year has now been made available on vinyl and as an extraordinarily expensive box set.
The box includes a limited edition book, hand-signed by Mick Jagger, featuring words on the Stones in 1973 by renowned rock critic Nick Kent (who toured with the band in Europe that year), and rare and unseen photographs by Michael Putland the tour’s official photographer.
It also includes a booklet of rare and unseen photos from the Brussels shows by rock photographer Claude Gassian, a 1973 tour lithograph, a "Tongue & Lips” watch which includes canvas band with steel buckle, Japan Seiko Movement and stainless steel face with brass dial.
The "Art Edition” includes a Silver Gelatin Print hand-signed by the photographer Michael Putland.
And the "Platinum Edition” includes the 1973Tour Lithograph hand-signed by Mick Jagger.
The album itself was recorded in 1973 when the band were on tour promoting Goats Head Soup. It has been mixed by longtime Stones collaborator Bob Clearmountain.
