The Rolling Stones have made good on their promise to provide small gigs in Paris before their 50th anniversary shows at London's O2 Arena.

Playing to a crowd of just 600, the band performed a 12 song set which included Tumbling Dice',' It's Only Rock and Roll', 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' and 'Brown Sugar'. Fans were also treated to a preview of their current single 'Doom and Gloom' and new track 'One More Shot'. Both these tracks will be featured on their upcoming greatest hits compilation, "GRRR!".

Ronnie Wood has stated the group may play other warm-up gigs in Paris, even to crowds of just 200 or 300, using their Cockroaches pseudonym.

This marks the first time The Stones have played together since their two-year Bigger Bang tour. Despite recent claims of over-priced entrance fees, tickets for last night's gig cost just £12.
