The Rolling Stones Send A Message To Japan
The band extend their sympathy to the country
The Stones have issued a message to Japan on their official website, offering their sympathy to the earthquake and tsunami ravaged country.
"The Rolling Stones send their heartfelt sympathies to their friends and fans in Japan who are going through such tragic and very difficult times. It's heartbreaking to see the loss of life and devastation, but we know their strong resolve and togetherness will pull them through."
The band are amongst the many, many rock bands that have offered their support to the country over the past seven days.
Iron Maiden yesterday announced that they are raising money by selling tour t-shirts, while Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda (who's father is Japanese American) has designed a special t-shirt to also raise money for relief efforts.
