Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger says he’s already “feeling much better” two days after testing positive for Covid.

The 78-year-old rock legend began to develop symptoms as he arrived at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Monday (13th June) and the show was axed just hours before the band were due to step on stage.

The Rolling Stones’ next show on Friday 17th June in Switzerland, at Bern's Wankdorf Stadium was also postponed.

Taking to Twitter this afternoon, Jagger said he’s now feeling “much better” and he “can’t wait to get back on stage” when the SIXTY Tour resumes in Milan on Tuesday 21st June.

The Amsterdam concert has now been rescheduled for Thursday 7th July 2022 and details of a new Bern date will be revealed soon.

“Thank you all so much for your well wishes and messages the last few days. I’m feeling much better and can’t wait to get back on stage next week,” wrote Sir Mick.

“The Amsterdam date has been rescheduled for July 7 and we’ll have news of the new Bern date ASAP.

“See you soon! Mick.”

The Amsterdam concert was originally due to take place four days after The Rolling Stones’ triumphant show at Liverpool’s Anfield stadium.

The Liverpool gig was The Rolling Stones’ first concert on UK soil since the untimely death of drummer Charlie Watts last August and it saw them cover The Beatles’ 1963 song ‘I Want To Be Your Man.’

The 60th anniversary trek includes two shows at London’s BST Hyde Park on Saturday 25th June and Sunday 3rd July.
