The Rocks 2021 winners revealed
Planet Rock's annual celebration of rock and metal music
AC/DC, Thunder, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden and Whitesnake’s David Coverdale are among the winners at The Rocks 2021.
The brainchild of Wyatt, The Rocks - Planet Rock’s celebration of the greatest British and international rock music - is a direct response to the pop-obsessed award ceremonies that often ignore rock and metal music.
For the first time in the event’s eight-year history, The Rocks 2021 awards ceremony was broadcast live on Planet Rock’s YouTube channel tonight (11th June) and hosted by Wyatt at Nightrain in Bradford.
AC/DC were the big winners on the night scooping two prestigious gongs, while Thunder, When Rivers Meet, Massive Wagons, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden and Myles Kennedy all triumphed too.
Whitesnake legend David Coverdale also won the inaugural Rocks Honours Award, which recognises bands and artists for their contribution to rock music.

David Coverdale joined Wyatt from his home in America to accept his honour, while there were also video messages from Myles Kennedy, Thunder’s Luke Morley, When Rivers Meet, Andy Copping accepting behalf of Iron Maiden, and Massive Wagons.
Alongside all the winners and acceptance speeches, The Rocks 2021 awards ceremony featured live performances from The Damn Truth (‘This Is Where We Are Now’), Kris Barras (‘Hail Mary’), Massive Wagons (‘Back To The Stack’) and Those Damn Crows (‘Set In Stone’).
