The Quireboys reschedule 'A Bit of What You Fancy' 30th anniversary UK tour
They're hitting the road in 2021
Last updated 4th Nov 2020
The Quireboys have rescheduled the remaining January and February 2021 dates of their A Bit Of What You Fancy UK Tour, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The new dates will (fingers crossed) see Spike and the gang heading to venues across the UK in October - November 2021, as well as January 2022.
All tickets to the previously announced gigs remain valid.
If you haven't already got yours, you can pick up tickets right here from Planet Rock Tickets.
The band were originally due to hit the road from December 2020 to February 2021 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut studio album ‘A Bit of What You Fancy’.
'A Bit of What You Fancy’ was a huge commercial success upon its release in January 1990 and spawned four Top 40 singles in the UK; ‘7 O’Clock’, ‘Hey You’, ‘I Don’t Love You Anymore’ and ‘There She Goes Again’.
Now, The Quireboys have confirmed they will hit the road across the UK from June 2021 through to January 2022 where they will be performing ‘A Bit of What You Fancy’ in its glorious entirety.
The tour will now open at Thekla Bristol on Friday 4th June 2021 and calls in at Nottingham, Oxford and Southend across the summer.
Support at all dates comes from Australian rock 'n' rollers Massive.
Quireboys singer Spike says of the updated 2020 version of ‘A Bit of What You Fancy’: “(The album) is where it all began for The Quireboys. It was an incredible album that launched our career. However, the way we sound and play now doesn’t do it justice.
“Henceforth, it has been a pleasure updating it to our modern-day Gypsy Rock & Roll Sound. I’m sure everyone will enjoy this new version in all its glory, marking its 30th Anniversary.”
The re-release will now be coming out on CD in December 2020 and vinyl in January 2021.
