The Darkness confirmed for Stone Free Festival
Fresh from triumphing at Planet Rockstock last night, The Darkness have been added to the inaugural Stone Free Festival line-up!
Enthusing about their addition, the flamboyant rockers (who clearly like to talk about themselves in the third person) said in a statement: "Multi-million selling saviours of ROCK The Darkness are proud to grace the Stone Free stage, alongside rock legends past and future!
"Expect the usual mix of mania-inducing vocals, riffs forged from solid steel, and stage costumes to make you feel a bit damp in the naughty area. You are welcome."
Taking place at The O2 Arena on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June, Stone Free Festival boasts the very best in classic rock music across two 12-hour days and multiple stages.
Shock rock master Alice Cooper and prog-rock legend Rick Wakeman (performing his seminal album ‘The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table’ in its entirety) headline the two day extravaganza with Marillion, Blackberry Smoke and Steve Hackett also on the bill.
As well as the phenomenal live music there will also be special acoustic performances, Q&As with headline performers, cinema screenings at the STONE FREE picture show, a vinyl fair, specialist market stalls, classic album playbacks, Rock Royalty VIP packages, craft beers and street food alongside the established award-winning restaurants.
