The Damned reunite original line-up for 2021 UK tour
They play four headline shows next summer
Last updated 27th Oct 2020
The Damned’s original line-up of Dave Vanian, Rat Scabies, Captain Sensible and Brian James have reunited for four-date headline tour in 2021.
The tour will celebrate the band’s 45-year anniversary and the setlist will feature songs from The Damned’s first two albums from 1977 - ‘Damned Damned Damned’ and the Nick Mason produced ‘Music for Pleasure’ – together with B-sides and covers that the original line-up played.
The Damned’s quartet of shows will mark the first time drummer Rat Scabies (real name Christopher Millar) and guitarist Brian James have performed with the band in over 25 years.
Vocalist David Vanian remains the only constant member of The Damned, while Captain Sensible has had three separate tenures. Although Captain Sensible performed guitar from 1979 onwards, in keeping with the original line-up he will be playing bass next year.

The punk rock torchbearers, who released their debut single ‘New Rose’ almost exactly 44 years ago on 22nd October 1976, will play four headline shows in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester in July 2021.
