The Cult Start New Album

Expect new material before the end of the year

On the back of their EP-esque capsule releases last year, the band has announced that it is back in the studio with producer Chris Goss (Queens Of The Stone Age, Masters Of Reality) at the controls once again.

"I feel we have reached our zenith in terms of our writing and performing skills," singer Ian Astbury said. "We intend to deliver on all levels."

The album is expected to be released in the winter and it will be a follow up to 2007's Born Into This.

The Cult released two "Capsules" last year. Both contained new material alongside rare material and video footage. They had previously suggested that they would not be recording a new album again.
