The Cadillac Three announce support for summer UK tour
Country sensation Lindsay Ell will open for Jaren Johnston and the boys

Country-tinged rockers (and part-time Planet Rock presenters) The Cadillac Three return to the UK this summer with their long-awaited Hillbilly Hypnotized Tour after a previous set of dates had to be axed due to Covid cases in the band. Underlining their country credentials, they’ll be supported at all eight of their headline shows by Lindsay Ell, the award-winning multi-instrumentalist whose music has accumulated some 200 million global streams.
“We are thrilled to be adding our good friend Lindsay Ell to the Hillbilly Hypnotized Tour in the UK,” enthuses frontman Jaren Johnston. “Lindsay is an incredible musician and will make this tour really special. We cannot wait to get back and see our friends in the UK; we are counting down the days.”
The Cadillac Three, who as well as being nominated for the Best International Band Award in The Rocks 2022 recently received a second consecutive Group of the Year nomination at the Academy of Country Music Awards, released their fifth studio album ‘Tabasco and Sweet Tea’ in 2020.
It was an album that injected some funk into their trademark southern rock sound. The forthcoming tour will be the first chance for their UK following to experience tracks from both that album and its predecessor, the critically acclaimed ‘Country Fuzz’, alongside highlights from the band’s decade-long career.
Calgary-born singer Ell’s debut album was named Billboard’s Country Album of the Year in 2017 with its follow up (‘Heart Theory’) earning multiple Canadian Album of the Year nominations. 2022 will see Ell continue to host hit TV programme ‘Canada’s Got Talent’ and appear as direct support for Shania Twain just before landing in the UK.
The Cadillac Three, completed by drummer Neil Mason and lap steel/bassist Kelby Ray, host a regular hour-long show called Garage Radio on Planet Rock. Recorded in the band’s native Nashville, Tennessee, it follows on from Loz Guest’s Stateside show, airing from 8pm to 9pm.
