New Rory Gallagher best of album to feature unheard Rolling Stones cover
'The Best of Rory Gallagher' is released in October

A career-spanning Rory Gallagher compilation album aptly entitled ‘The Best of Rory Gallagher’ is being released on Friday 9th October via UMC.
Containing 15 songs on the standard 1CD edition and on 2LP vinyl, and 30 tracks on the 2CD set, ‘The Best of Rory Gallagher’ features material from Rory’s early career with Taste right up to his final solo studio album ‘Fresh Evidence’ in 1990.
Included on the second disc of the 2CD edition is a previously unheard cover of The Rolling Stones’ ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ that Rory recorded with Jerry Lee Lewis back in 1973. The song is also available as an instant grat track with pre-orders of the album, and on all streaming and download services.
Rory was one of the many guest musicians that performed on Lewis’ ‘The Session...Recorded in London with Great Artists’ and the Rolling Stones cover originates from those sessions.
As well as appearing on the 2CD version, ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ is available as a limited edition direct to consumer 7” vinyl single that’s backed with the B-side ‘Cruise On Out’, lifted from Rory’s 1978 album ‘Photo Finish’.

Revered by an array of artist including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Slash, Joe Bonamassa, Jimmy Page, Peter Frampton, Joe Satriani and The Edge, Rory Gallagher died in June 1995 aged just 47.
