Tesla announce new album 'Shock' produced & co-written by Def Leppard’s Phil Collen

Tesla will release their eighth studio album ‘Shock’ on Friday 8th March 2019 via UMC.

Produced and co-written by Phil Collen of Def Leppard fame, the follow-up to June 2014’s ‘Simplicity’ is available on CD, digital, black vinyl, and limited-edition translucent blue vinyl formats. Fans who pre-order the album will receive the album title track is an instant grat free download.

To support the release of 'Shock', Tesla are heading out on an extensive series of shows across North America, Europe, and elsewhere around the globe throughout 2019.

The trek includes a previously announced appearance at Download Festival this June, where their good friends Def Leppard and bands including Whitesnake, Slipknot, Tool, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Dream Theater, Blackberry Smoke, Rob Zombie and Slayer are all scheduled to perform.

The current incarnation of Tesla features co-founding members Brian Wheat (bass, keyboards, piano, backing vocals) and Frank Hannon (guitars, backing vocals) together with the long-serving Jeff Keith (vocals) and Troy Luccketta (drums), plus guitarist Dave Rude who joined in 2006.

Since their formation in Sacramento, California in 1981 Tesla have sold more than 15million albums in their native United States alone.
