Tax The Heat announce Fed To The Lions album release show
Tax The Heat are set to celebrate the release of their debut full-length album with a special gig in London.
The headline show will take place at The Islington in London on 14th April 2016, following the release of "Fed To The Lions" on 8th April.
Speaking about the album's rhythm-and-blues influences, guitarist/vocalist Alex Veale said: “We love the energy of those ’60s bands. Maximum R&B – that’s the basis for Tax The Heat. But we’re taking it somewhere else, bridging the gap between old and new, creating something that has that raw energy but is also original.”
“It was all about capturing that live energy on the record,” added drummer Jack Taylor, “We didn’t want to go fully old-school with it – we used modern technology. But what you hear on the album is the four of us playing together, no overdubs. A lot of live takes.”
Tax The Heat have also recently confirmed appearances at this year's Ramblin' Man Fair and Steelhouse Festival, as well as a support slot for Reef's gig at Cardiff Tramshed on 25th March.
Tickets for Tax The Heat's "Fed To The Lions" album release show go on sale at 10am on Monday 14th March 2016 via Planet Rock Tickets!
