Sweet announce special guests for November/December 2019 UK tour
Sweet have confirmed that rising alternative rockers Novatines will support them on their upcoming November/December 2019 UK tour.
Formed in Bath in 2017, the four-piece began working on the debut album last summer at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Wiltshire with Sweet’s Andy Scott at the production helm.
The first fruits of these album sessions, the single ‘Hate Love’, emerged in February and it picked up several spins on Wyatt’s New Rock Show. Check out the video here:
Opening at Frome Cheese & Grain on Thursday 28th November and wrapping up at Bexhill De La Warr Pavilion four days for Christmas, Sweet’s Planet Rock Live tour follows hot on the platform heels of Sweet’s sold-out ‘Still Got the Rock’ European tour.
The setlist on the trek will boast Sweet’s biggest hits including ‘Block Buster!’, ‘Ballroom Blitz’, ‘Fox on the Run’ and ‘Hellraiser’, alongside other cuts from their distinguished musical back catalogue.

The current Sweet line-up features classic line-up member Andy Scott (lead guitar vocals) alongside Bruce Bisland (drums, vocals), Tony O’Hora (lead vocals, bass) and Paul Manzi (guitar, keyboards, vocals).
