Survivor's Jimi Jamison Passes Away
The singer has died at the age of 63.
Jimi Jamison, lead singer with Survivor, has died at the age of 63.
Jamison's booking manager, Sally Irwin, says he suffered a heart attack.
The band said in a post on their official Facebook page:
"The entire Survivor family is very shocked and saddened by the passing of our brother Jimi Jamison. Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to his family and friends."
Jamison joined Survivor in 1984, two years after the release of their hit 'Eye Of The Tiger'. He was however on the band's multi-platinum 'Vital Signs' album and sang and co-wrote the Baywatch theme 'I'm Always Here'.
No announcement has yet been made regarding Survivor's existing tour dates.
