Guns N’ Roses’ former manager says TV series about ’80s sunset strip is on the way
And she’d love to see ‘Stranger Things’ star Finn Wolfhard in it
Former Guns N’ Roses manager Vicky Hamilton has confirmed that a new series about the ‘80s sunset strip glam metal scene is in the pipeline.
Hamilton worked with some of the biggest names in 80s rock, including the likes of Mötley Crüe, Poison, Stryper and Faster Pussycat.
She also managed Guns N' Roses in their early days and helped them land their record deal with Geffen.
In 2016 she released her autobiography ‘Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale’, which she now says is forming the basis for the TV show.
Speaking to Loudwire, she said: “This is the first time I'm really saying this out loud — I've done a deal with a production company, and it's going to get made into a TV series.”

While unable to share many details as it’s still very early in the process, Hamilton did say that "an insanely creative writer that has written many hit TV shows" is set to work on the show.
She said that the show will not be specifically about Guns N’ Roses but rather the scene as a whole and all the bands that she worked with.
"I kind of see it like a Daisy Jones & the Six, but like an '80s version of that,” she added. “I don't know if legally they'll be able to work out to use the real band names, but who knows?"
Casting for the show has not started yet but Hamilton cast a couple of names in the hat, saying she’d love to see the likes of Elle Fanning and Finn Wolfhard – who plays Mike Wheeler in ‘Stranger Things’.
