Stones Unearth 81 Concert For Release
The band are adding another concert to their Archive collection
Ultimate Classic Rock reports that the new release will be called Hampton Coliseum: Live 1981 and that it will be a concert recorded on 18 Dec 1981 at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va on the band's Tattoo You tour.
The concert has been available as a bootleg for many years but this version offers remixed sound that’s reportedly very different than the bootleg versions. The 26-song set list features ‘Tattoo You’ tunes like ‘Start Me Up,’ ‘Hang Fire’ and ‘Waiting on a Friend,’ Stones classics like ‘Brown Sugar,’ ‘Satisfaction’ and ’You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ and even a few Motown covers, including Smokey Robinson and the Miracles’ ‘Going to a Go Go’ and the Temptations’ ‘Just My Imagination.’
At the time of writing the album was only available on the Android Market in the US but blog The Second Disc reports that the concert will be added to the official Stones archive site, www.stonesarchive.com, in the near future.
