Stones Live Classic Heading To The Cinema
Ladies & Gentlemen to hit the big screen next month
The Rolling Stones’ classic live film ‘Ladies & Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones’ is to be released in UK cinemas next month.
The legendary concert film Ladies & Gentlemen...The Rolling Stones has been fully restored and remastered from the original film print and multitrack audio masters. Filmed in Texas in 1972 over four nights of the Exile On Main Street US tour, Ladies & Gentlemen was premiered at the Ziegfield Theatre in New York on 15th April 1974 and released into selected cinemas across the USA shortly afterwards. It was billed at the time as ...”the most powerful rock film ever made” and is considered by many fans to be the finest Rolling Stones performance ever captured on film.
The film, which is long out of print, is also due to be released on DVD and Blu Ray at some point in October.
Frontman Mick Jagger said: "It's a full-on performance and energy levels are really high... everyone's very together."
The film will screen at Showcase cinemas on 17 September, at Vue cinemas on 16 September and at Picturehouse cinemas on 21 September.
