Stone Temple Pilots Tour Comes To A Halt
Band to take unexpected break after odd Houston performance
The Stone Temple Pilots tour has come to a surprise halt in the US with a dozen dates postponed so that the band can take a short break.
The band are now due to resume their tour in mid October, but there has been no reason for the unscheduled tour break.
And the surprise announcement has led to speculation that there are some problems with frontman Scott Weiland after a shambolic opening to a gig in Houston on Sunday which saw the band nearly an hour late onstage and Weiland clearly a little disoriented and giving a two minute speech at the very start of the show. During his speech the frontman admits that he has started drinking again.
