Stone Temple Pilots announce seventh album & share new song ‘Roll Me Under’

Stone Temple Pilots will release their self-titled seventh studio album this coming spring.

Having unveiled ‘Meadow’, their first song with new singer Jeff Gutt last November, the band have today unleashed the powerful track ‘Roll Me Under’.

Both lead songs will be available as an instant grat download for anyone who pre-orders ‘Stone Temple Pilots’ ahead of its release on Friday 16th March 2018 via Rhino.

"'Roll Me Under' was one of the first songs I wrote for the album, and one of the first Jeff sang on too," Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo told Rolling Stone.

"Those riffs have been kicking around in my head for years, and it felt like the right time to record and perform it."

"The new album feels like a completed journey for the band," Robert DeLeo added. "The record breathes resilience. A lot of life has been funneled into this body of music."

‘Stone Temple Pilots’ features 12 new tracks penned and recorded by Jeff Gutt, Dean DeLeo, Eric Kretz and Robert DeLeo in Redondo Beach, California.

Stone Temple Pilots are playing an extensive run of shows in the US throughout the spring.

Jeff Gutt said of the shows: "We can all can expect Stone Temple Pilots' classics done with respect to the members still here and the ones that aren't.

"It's important to me that these legacies stay intact and are celebrated, and to continue the musical journey of Stone Temple Pilots with the new music."
