Hours before the band’s show at Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Center in Canada on Saturday night (27th January), Stone Sour announced Josh won’t be appearing on their upcoming shows.

“Unfortunately, Josh Rand has checked into a treatment center and will not be joining Stone Sour for the Canada/US tour,” their brief statement said.

“Though he will be back as soon as possible, we ask you all to keep him in your thoughts. Until then, the rest of Stone Sour will see you all on tour in Jan/Feb. Thank you.”

Stone Sour’s North American tour hits EnCana Events Centre in Dawson Creek, Canada tonight (29th January) and continues through to late February. Halestorm share the bill on the opening 10 dates of the tour.

The band are coming to the UK this coming June for a trio of headline shows taking in Manchester O2 Apollo, London Roundhouse and Nottingham Rock City. For ticket availability, head to Planet Rock Tickets.

Everyone at Planet Rock wishes Josh the best of luck.
