Steve Van Zandt Scores A Hit With New TV Show
One in five Norwegians watched the debut of his new comedy series
According to Contact Music the first episode of new series, Lilyhammer, pulled in one million viewers - one fifth of the population of the country.
The show sees Van Zandt playing an FBI informer hiding from the Mafia in the Norwegian town and the various pitfalls of that "fish out of water" scenario.
The show is due to air via video streaming service Netflix in the US next month and it has already been commissioned for a second series. There's no word on a UK release at the moment.
