Steelhouse Festival 2019 to feature huge sun shade in Main Arena
Steelhouse Festival organisers have confirmed there will be a gargantuan sun shade in the Main Arena this year where attendees can shelter from the sun’s relentless rays.
As we all well know, a healthy dose of Vitamin D is good for you, however three days’ worth of unabridged sunshine on the scorched South Wales mountaintops could potentially lead to sunburn and dehydration if you don’t look after yourself!
Fortunately, our good friends at Steelhouse Festival have confirmed there will be a vast sun shade this year stretching the entire width of the Main Arena, where rock aficionados can watch the smorgasbord of incredible bands on offer and take a breather from the glowing golden orb in the sky.
Introducing the sun shade, Steelhouse Festival wrote: “A much-needed sun shade. This will be behind the front of house and provide some respite from the beating rays of the sun.”
Very sensible!
In the highly unlikely event that there are a few spots of rain, the sun shade canopy will double up as a rain shelter.
The sun shade is part of a trio of site upgrades Steelhouse Festival have introduced for this year’s festival.
There's an increased amount of track matting around the edge of the Main Arena which will help attendees walk to all the food, drink and merchandise stalls.
Additionally, there's a new Accessible Platform to ensure wheelchair users have a great view of all the live bands.
