Steel Panther want 'sexy' bassists with 'chops' to audition for the band

Comedy metallers Steel Panther are calling on all ‘sexy’ bass players with serious 'chops’ to come forward and audition to join the band.
Almost exactly a month after Lexxi Foxx left Steel Panther, the remaining members of the band - Michael Starr, Satchel and Stix Zadinia – have posted a mock news bulletin video urging bass players to submit an online audition.
“As you may know or may not know, Steel Panther is looking for a new bass player,” Steel Panther say in the one-minute video. “Our socials and our site have been overwhelmed with messages from people who think they’re the one. Are you the one?!”
They continue: “Do you have what it takes? Do you have the look? Do you have the sexiness? Do you have the chops? Are there any warrants for your arrest domestically and internationally? If you’ve answered ‘yes, yes, yes, yes’ and one ‘no’ and you want to be part of the one of the raddest, the sexiest, dirtiest, most awesome, raunchiest, most fun rock n’ roll extravaganza ever known to man or woman then hit the link and follow the instructions to submit.
“We will view every video and we want to see what you’ve got, so bring it! If you’ve made the cut you will be notified. Are you going to be the next bass player for Steel Panther? Are you?! Let the submission begin.”
The trio of instructions on the website right here are extremely simple:
1) Be bitchin.
2) Upload a video of you playing any Steel Panther song.
3) Upload a video of you introducing yourself to Steel Panther explaining why you should be our bassist.
Lexxi Foxx – real name Travis Haley – was a member of Steel Panther since their formation as Metal Shop in Los Angeles shortly after the turn of the millennium.
Known for his exuberant live performances, Foxx has performed on all five of Steel Panther’s studio albums from 2009’s ‘Feel the Steel’ through to 2019’s ‘Heavy Metal Rules.’
