Stars To Rock For Armenia Once More
Iommi, Gillan, Lord & McBrain to record charity single next week
Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan, Jon Lord and Nicko McBrain are teaming up to record a brand new charity single.
We reported many, many months ago that Tony and Ian had been writing together again and now it seems that we will see a release to go along with it.
There’s no word on which song the band will be recording, but Classic Rock Magazine reports that they will be hitting the studio together next week to record a follow-up of sorts to the 1989 Iommi-Gillan organised version of Smoke On The Water which was released to raise money for victims of the terrible 1988 earthquake in Armenia.
Money from the new single will apparently be used to help rebuild a school in Armenia.
