Springsteen To Grant A Little Boy's Wish
The Boss to meet an ill young fan in Boston
Ultimate Classic Rock reports that five-year-old Carter Bernhard of Mansfield, Mass., who has a disabling form of Spina Bifida, is a huge fan of the New Jersey icon and his greatest wish in the world is to meet him.
Carter’s father, Scott, says: "He wakes up every day and says, ‘Dad when I leave the hospital there’s something I want to do.’ I always think he’s going to say ‘go for ice cream,’ but he says ‘I want to meet The Boss.’”
And now, with a little help from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, he’s about to get the chance. Bruce and the youngster will finally come face-to-face in Boston on March 26 while Springsteen is in town for a concert.
Carter’s mother Chrissy says her son wants to "eat bananas and pancakes with him.”
