Springsteen Surprises Fans With Tiny Hometown Show
Bruce plays four hour set in Asbury Park
Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band played to a tiny audience in their hometown of Asbury Park, New Jersey on Tuesday.
The band played to just a few dozen fans at the Carousel House on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, playing a set of tracks from their recent Darkness rarities collection The Promise.
Many of the songs in the set had never been played live with an audience before, and during a four hour set the band played all of the songs in the set at least twice as it was being filmed for an as yet unconfirmed web broadcast.
Here’s the set:
- Racing In the Street (1978)
- Gotta Get That Feeling
- Outside Looking In
- One Way Street
- Come On (Let's Go Tonight).
- Save My Love
- The Brokenhearted
- Ain't Good Enough for You
- The Promise
- Talk To Me
- Blue Christmas
