Metal drummer beats Portnoy and Peart in drummer poll

Slipknot’s Joey Jordison has topped a massive poll conducted by Music Radar for Rhythm magazine to find the greatest drummer of the past 25 years.

The poll attracted some 102,000 votes and Jordison took 38,000 of them.

Other drumming luminaries from the most recent decades include Mike Portnot from Dream Theater, who came second, Porcupine Tree’s Gavin Harrison and Rush’s Neil Peart.
