Slash To Do Slasher Films
Guitarist to embark on fairly obvious name / business tie in
In a case of "I can’t believe it hadn’t happened before”, Slash has launched a film production company entitled Slasher Films.
The company’s first film will be a creature feature, which will apparently "revolve around a young family who moves into a small town farm house in rural Kansas. While trying to fit in with the local farmers, they accidentally unleash an ancient demon with an insatiable thirst for blood."
In a statement, Slash revealed, "I've always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I've always wanted to do. My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy."
The film is due to start production next year with a Halloween 2011 release slated.
