Slash Added To Download Bill
Guitarist joins Tyketto, Porcupine Tree and Michael Monroe as final additions
Slash will play at this year’s Download Festival, it has been revealed.
The appearance of the former Guns N Roses guitarist had been rumoured for some time but in the final batch of line-up additions Slash has been confirmed for the Main Stage on Sunday 13 June – the day headlined by Aerosmith (with Motörhead also appearing on that day could we see a Lemmy guest spot to sing Doctor Alibi from Slash’s new album?). The Download appearance will be Slash’s UK debut with his current live band (which is fronted by Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge).
There are some other pretty exciting additions to the line-up, with Porcupine Tree also scheduled to play the second stage on the Sunday, Tyketto added to the Pepsi Max bill for the Friday and former Hanoi Rocks frontman Michael Monroe scheduled to top the same stage but on Saturday.
