Scorpions To Re-release Live Classic

World Wide Live due to be re-issued later this year

Scorpions have revealed that they will re-release their 1985 VHS classic World Wide Live later this year.

In an interview with Rockpages.gr frontman Rudolph Schenker revealed that the band had a mammoth archive of live material – 800 hours to be precise – and that they will be reissuing World Wide Live with some of the material attached as an added extra, saying "World Wide Live is a DVD with bonus. We filmed so much and only half of that stuff is on the VHS! We will re-release it as a DVD."

Schenker also revealed that the band have something spectacular planned for their final ever gig together (whenever that may be), saying that "We have an outstanding idea for the last concert... I don't want to say anything now. It's gonna be very expensive and very special for Scorpions"

And Schenker says that while he has no definite plans post-Scorpions, he may team up with his brother Michael for a long awaited Schenker Brothers album.

"Many fans are asking for a Schenker Brothers album. That's a possibility... I will have time to do that... When I have a creative push... You have to follow your instinct. Nothing is the same now than it was a second ago! That’s the power of now! If I think about a solo career now, I will lose the momentum of now."
