Biff will play a total of 10 shows next spring opening at Gateshead Sage 2 on 17th April and calling in at Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Bath, Liverpool, Aberdare, Milton Keynes, London and Brighton.

Each show will take an “evening with” format and will be split into two halves.

The first half will be a spoken word show compared by US comedian Don Jamieson who co-hosted VH1 Classic's heavy metal talk show series That Metal Show. Don will quiz Biff on all aspects of his life and his legendary career.

The second half will be a live show featuring Biff and his solo band, as Biff explains: “The show will consist of some old songs, some new songs, some cover versions and some songs off the solo album.

“It’s going to be great and I am really looking forward to it. It’s going to something a little bit different, but it will be very cool, so I’ll see you all there!”

Tickets to all dates, except Leeds and Aberdare, go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 6th December. Leeds and Aberdare follow at 10am on Friday 13th December.

All tickets purchased by 31st January 2020 will receive a personally signed Biff Byford 10x8 photo and be entered into a draw to win one of 10 meet & greets per show.

Featuring the excellent lead single ‘Welcome To The Show’, Biff Byford's debut solo album ‘School of Hard Knocks’ is released on Friday 21st February via Silver Lining Music.

The 11-track album was self-produced and it features a solo band consisting of Fredrik Åkesson (Opeth) on guitars, Christian Lundqvist on drums and Gus Macricostas on bass, with Biff himself playing additional bass too.

‘School of Hard Knocks’ also boasts guest appearances from Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell, Alex Holzwart (Rhapsody of Fire), Nick Barker (Voices), Dave Kemp (Wayward Sons) and Biff’s Saxon band mate Nibbs Carter.

The album was recorded by Jacky Lehmann at Brighton Electric Studios in Brighton (UK) and mixed at Queen Street Studios in Stockholm (Sweden) by Mats Valentin.
